Pangkor Fan-zy!

18 Dec My bones ached as I crawled up from my bed. We gonna step in the restaurant for the first time today, and we are so going into it! My mum invited me for a breakfast at New Chor Kee, which is located across the street. I picked up my motorbike and ramped all the way there, where I almost hit a car. My mum followed her friend, left me behind. Immediately after my breakfast, I ramped all the way back to LRT station, leaving my bike by the road side, locked of course. I made it in time today. Everyone was excited, but I couldn't see Fish in sight, I thought she's late or something. I felt a little disappointed, well. We had a little problem, the restaurant is STILL NOT READY YET! Okay, let's move our buttocks up to Berjaya University again! There, we FOH practiced on our P.O.S system, while the BOH practice their cuttings and learn how to handle chemicals. It was so boring! Especially when Fish is not around, if she's around, I would enjoy at least a little, well, yo

Hancock

Image
Hancock Have you guys watch this show, I believe you did, it's really old actually. You should watch it if you have not. I love this story! The loneliness of Hancock somehow triggered my thoughts. I wonder if Jesus had that thought in His mind too when He was persecuted. People with greater ability tends to have greater responsibility. "Great power comes great responsibility" quoted from Spiderman. But when people you saved start to forsake you, hate you, does not accept you, loneliness comes. The feeling is unbearable. What was His feeling when He was on the cross? I wonder if He, for a moment, felt lonely?

Coffee Latte

17 Dec Today was the biggest practical joke! Those contractors were late again! We were suppose to "invade" the restaurant by today. I brought extra shirt, so eager just to clean up the restaurant and start business right away! Grr, but Jeffrey came with a bad news! We were off for the day! WTF! We came all the way here just to......Fish was like "Huh~~~!" Daniel didn't seem happy after all, in the end, nothing else that we could do. Just to cheer us up, Daniel told us to get a free coffee at Starbucks! Gosh! FREE COFFEE! All of us went there, queued up like civillized men, but grabbed the coffee and sugar like barbarians, haha! Utusan Melayu even snapped some picture of Sookie, Miko and other girls! The coffee was real good! No wonder their coffee is so popular even though they are so expensive! It is the brand that keeps people coming. It's a pride for those who drink coffee in Starbucks, according to Vincent. But it is a fact that their service is first c

Full Gear to Papa

16 Dec Today's session probably was the most boring session of all! Gosh, I was bored to death! A lot of newcomers today, but too bad didn't managed to meet them and break the ice. Fish brought her friend as promised. Shocked me, an MBSian showed up today, I forgot his name. Ming Yen's friend Vincent was one of them, got to know that Beatrice is interested in him, haha! Well he does look cool! Those who joined us at 9 Dec are required to attend an orientation like we had on the 4 and 5 Dec, we call them the newbies. We Old-bies have to go to the Berjaya University to have our session with the BOH old-bies. The class was terribly dull because we were doing the P.O.S. thingy again, while the BOH guys were practising pepperoni topping. I look so silly in this hair net and apron! All of them! Pepperon-ated! Back to zero! For pizza! Grr! I just can't stand the long-winded lecture by Mr. G! Btw, sorry that I said something that offended the others, touched on sensitive issues

Sa Wa Dee Kap!

15 Dec 4 new guys joined us today! Amos, the chinese guy who does not speak Mandarin, Fish, the chinese (pretty) girl who does not speak at all (she speaks lah, not English loh)! We have 2 Thai today, Fauziah and Rohani (Both Muslims), sawadeekap! So excited to know them. Amos was the first I met, talked to him. At least he talks, it's okay because today's his first day here. Fish was kinda hard one. She doesn't smile and doesn't talk! I actually had to use half of my day just to break the ice. Well, she's good! I thought she's new but she's better than me! Especially the serving part! She could actually carry the tray properly and full with confidence! Haha, sorry for, you know, being annoying and such kehpo. Yup, I have to admit, she's really good! And of course, PRETTY! Well, both the Thais are degree graduates. Here in Malaysia to study. I think they must be really good to be able to study out of country. They can speak good English, real good one. T

Engineers My Journey

14 Dec Grr! There goes my alarm! Annoying! I just don't wanna wake up! Off to UTAR this time. They have an Open Day in PJ Campus. Ben asked me to go. Go lah, for my sake anyway. We reached there at around 10.30 a.m. which allowed us to go for the "Foundation" talk. We gathered so much information we want for our foundation study there. Then we went to collect information on Engineering. The Engineering in Electronic and Communication drew my attention and gave me a dilemma whether to take E&E or E&Comm. Ben is interested in Applied Mathematics and Actuarial Science. So a nice treat by Peng Wah (Ben's father, biological one), we went for the talk on Applied Maths and Actuarial Science. Actually we went for the Engineering talk also, which actually discouraged me a little. But I guess I'll stick to my plan. Engineers, according to the lecturer, we can have a good starting pay but for long term we can't be a millionaire, and we have to work our ass off! W

Some Word

Well I'm on my way home after helping my father to take his medicines which is left in my grandmother's house now. Something is playing in my mind now. I have this strange feeling in me now, I'm gonna die real soon. Yea, I don't know but I just know. I have a lot of things to say you know, still a lot more things to do after my death. I just wanna say a few words, please listen, just do this simple thing for me will do. Just a few sentence: I want a simple funeral, get me a church, baptize me before the funeral if I'm not baptized. I hope my father, mother, sister, wife and children can be baptized and saved by Lord Jesus, but please do not force them, let them have a genuine relationship with God. Donate all my usable organs. Burn my body, don't bury. Let my parents take care of my properties. If I'm married, half of it to my wife, 1 quarter to my children, the rest to my parents(If my parents are not alive, my parents' portion, half to charity, half to

Night of Feast Cowboy Way

13 Dec Hoho, well basically today's training was on the P.O.S. which is our system to key in orders. Unfortunately due to the delayed delivery of the actual P.O.S., we couldn't get our hands on the actual ordertaking procedures. Then, we the FOH team members had a session on service and follow up. We are required to serve with a 12" round tray. OMG, for a clumsy person like me, I doubt I can handle that tray! It was real hard but I guess training and practises will help. We extended our training a little, so I missed the few hours to PC Fair in KLCC. Grace and Prince rushed to their Christmas Drama, they practically ran towards the LRT. That's all about training. It's my cute little cousin's birthday today! Happy Birthday Wai Loon, God bless! Unfortunately we can't celebrate his birthday because he's strucked by chicken-pox. Thank God he is recovering fast. The birthday guy and his elder sister! Cute! Xixi! I'm handsome rite?! Poor little one, you c

May I Take Your Order Now?

Image
12 Dec Basically today we covered the ordertaking part. We were inspected by Jeffrey on our dressing and make up. So I actually gel my hair today, combed it (for the first time after 200 years! Haha! It's actually 5 months only) and I tucked in my shirt as instructed. Well I'll put on the smart look tomorrow, just remind me to snap some picture. All of us had a hard time with the menu, sme had pronounciation problem, some had grammatic errors in their speech. Sad to say, I'm not the best ordertaker but yet not the worst, at least I remembered to take all the orders. Those who make major mistakes like left out a guest were to sing any song. I actually recorded video of Ai Sin, but I don't think it's good to put it on YouTube la, pity her. My sister put on make up on me last night. Not really make up la, but she made me girl! Nevermind, at least she has her dream now, a makeup artist! Well I'm happy for her though she kept using me as model! Lol Okay I know I look

Typhoid Jab

Image
11 Dec Sob! Injection! Gosh, imagine that long, sharp needle poke through your skin and those unknown liquid is forced into your bloodstream! Haha! I have no fear at all, when I was young I probably will. Woke up at 7.30 a.m. today. Just felt so reluctant to wake up today, laziness started to work within me. After breakfast with my mum, she got me to "Pusat Kesihatan Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur" a.k.a DBKL Clinic. I had a hard time looking for the place to do the injection, I utterly ran around the place. At last I found the place and they required me to fill in a form. (Forms, forms, forms, no wonder we can't cut down on paper usage, government huh!) I submitted the form along with my photo and paid my RM21. This is the first time I see a government department that work so efficiently, in less than 20 minutes everything including the injection. You know why? There was only 3 people waiting for the injection. Okay, government won this time. The injection wasn't hard

Walk The Papa Way!

Image
10 Dec Papa John's Runway! Haha! We had this "Happy Birthday Remix" singing competition, and team ABC-MIC lost the competition. They had to walk the runway with different kinds of walking style. Haha! Had a great time! Got our offer letter today and finished up our EPF application. Got our temporary uniform today too! It's FOC! Haha! My shirt and my offer letter! Keke, nice shirt with nice reflections! Look at the size! Haha! All of us improved today especially in hosting and the ordertaking part. We've gained our confidence and we can speak out louder now! Gotta go for the Typhoid Jab tomorrow at DBKL Clinic. Haha, don't cry when the doctor injects you! Oh ya, I won't be having holiday from 15-17 Dec because I still have to go work even though we have no training. The call last night from someone shocked my soul out of my body. Be strong girl! You gonna live on! Even without him, because Jesus is there waiting for you! He has a greater task for you! I'

90 Minutes In Heaven

Image
Hey guys! I have something to recommend you if you have got the gold. Probably it was God's plan to let me read this book. It was raining heavily when I signed off from the training, so I couldn't go back. I don't carry an umbrella with me, I hate to. I have plenty of time, might as well go to Borders to read some book, I thought. I got this sudden interest to look for religious books, so I went around to look for the "Religion" section. I got there and this book caught my sight! "90 Minutes in Heaven" by Don Piper Oh well, you see I had this dream about Heaven and Hell if you do follow my blog. Just check out "Revelation? Heaven? Hell?" . I just want to read this so much to compare my experience with his. Don Piper is a ministry worker, a preacher. He met and accident and for a moment, died instantly. He was brought to Heaven and saw and heard all things about Heaven. However, he did not mention that he actually met Jesus and God. For 90 minut

Front of the House

Image
9 Dec Yeah! I'm put under the Front of the House Group (FOH)! Which means I might be having some days off from 13-17 Dec, yeah! A lot of newcomers today. Yi Jing brought 4 friends along with her today for the job. Then Mimi, Kamal, Alif and some other probably I forgot their names. Kamal and Alif took the spotlight during our FOH training. They blended in quickly and adjusted to us quite well. Well training went well today. It was all about serving the customer and our way to interact. Logan was our main trainer assisted by Jeffrey. Talked to Jeffrey about my salary. He failed to fight for a higher salary for me from the HR Department because I have no experience in F&B. Well I'm quite satisfied with that actually, I'll work for OT if I just need more. Got my name tag today! Keke! Trainee only!

Money: Source of All Quarrel

Image
8 Dec OMG! My mum came home and had never stop nagging since then. Well let's not talk about her cuz we gonna talk about her all the way down. So we went for dinner since my grandma took a day off (herself). My dad made a detour to Pudu Maybank branch and asked me to draw RM770 from my saving account since I'm sharing the account with him. I checked my account, RM858. WTF! Where the heck my money went?! If I draw RM770, then I would only have RM88 left! Gosh Where's my RM500+ savings? O no! This is the consequences of having an ATM card and never make a record of transection. Okay, my daily withdrawal limit is RM500 only, so I drew RM500 for my dad and started to count my money. Then I got confused when my mum started nagging, nagging and nagging again. Actually she was just trying to help but I just won't listen to her, my bad actually. Then I figured out where the money went. I had some quarrel with my mum about this and other stuff, including my slumber attitude that

The Nagger Is Home!

Gosh! My mum is now home and she has never stop nagging me from the minutes she set foot on house. Save me! Wish she would go there for a week! Then I shall have longer time of peace and quietness!

Speed My Way

7 Dec Gosh, I woke up early today. I can't believe my holiday life is so packed and energetic. My schedule is closely packed and I just don't know what to do! Okay, I've got a morning shock. Rebecca woke me up with a sms that she couldn't come to pick me up to church! O God! I so wanted to go to Matthew Cho's church! Nevermind, nothing is gonna stop me now! I AM SO GOING! I don't care, I'm determined! I called up Nancy who came up to my house to preach earlier to arrange my transportation. Not long later, Joshua called up that he'll be the one picking me up. I went down to have my breakfast with my grandmother, just to save my breakfast money, hehe! It was still very early before Joshua came, so I read newspaper there, got to know that there was a terrible land slide went on. O God! 14 houses involved and 4 deaths reported if I'm not wrong. Joshua came and picked me there. We had a little chat and thanks for his encouragement to stand firm in Jesus.

Funny Animation

This is exciting when things on your desktop is liven up! Haha! Funny! And this Star Wars Choir done by one person!! Enjoy!

Saturday Long Run

Image
6 Dec Woke up at 9.30a.m., Mum didn't wake me up, no one other than me was home anyway. Janice messaged me. I brushed up and prepared myself to leave. Had nasi lemak and Teh-ais before I go. Dropped the letter to RBC to get a copy of CD "Galilee". Met Kok Hoe who was on the way to work with his girlfriend. Went to look for Janice and reached the meeting by 10.40a.m. Well the meeting ended quite early. At least earlier than I expected. Met up with Janice, we went to Kasturi to return her friend's Popular Member Card. Then we rushed off to Times Square. Janice was extremely hungry. Pity her who did not have her breakfast this morning. She even burnt her tongue while eating. Just so cute when she was eating. I wasn't hungry so I didn't eat. She finished her lemon chicken fried rice and we left for Pavillion. I had no clue how to get there, so had to follow her. After 15 minutes walk...... Tada! Pavillion with its giant white Christmas Tree! Well both of us loh. I

Tower of Papa John's

5 Dec So training went on as normal today but started 30 minutes late. We changed group today. One girl quited today probably due to her parent's objection. I'm grouped into a group of 4, consisted of Mak Wan, Nor, Lin and I! TEAM NARUTO! Can you believe that we actually used Naruto as our team name! Haha, Sham was even better. He named his group "Mamasita", called themselves "Mother of Naruto", which made us laughed to the floor. Everything went extremely fine today. We can see each one of us was mixing together and the team spirit was building up gradually. Especially the enthusiatic Sham who brought laughter to us every moment. Cut the story short, the best part was the tallest straw building. Naruto built the shortest yet the stiffest building, but unstable due to light base. But it did brought us a lot of fun and laughter. The "Mamak" Complex Fallen "Mamasita" The Falling "Mamak" Stall The "House of Warriors" and

Sg. Pertak Camp 29 Nov-1 Dec

Sg. Pertak Camp Day 3 The morning was chilling! I hid myself in my cozy sleeping bag. The boys were making lots of noise, busy cooking breakfast BESIDE MY BED! Lol, stupid head! Who asked you to sleep open air?! Okay, wake up loh! I practically walked to my tent with my sleeping bag around me. By the time I finished washing up, breakfast (for boy scouts) was ready, though I'm a Rover, I ate directly from the frying wok using the spatula, haha! Alright, here's the proof that I had been working! Fried Rice! Yuki as my alibi! Well, I was cooking for the Seniors actually. I can't believe the leaders weren't awake yet while the members were all cooking for breakfast! Especially the boy scouts! What is that?! Tell you what! I actually had to kick my members up to exercise during camps when I was a leader! Learn boys! Then we had nasi lemak before we left the campsite. We tried to finish as much food as we can because we didn't want to carry so much stuffs back home

Sg. Pertak Camp 29 Nov-1 Dec

Sg. Pertak Camp Day 2 Well most 17 hours of this day had been mention in my previous post, Lost and Found . So I'll just give you some simple picture of what I did after sending Daniel Hong back. I got something at my feet after the journet, let me show you Saw that? Let's take a closer look! OMG! It's a big fat leech! You GREAT SUCKER! Sob! It scared the hell out of MEEE~~!! (Y~E~A, Y~E~A, you scare the hell out of Yuki rather than yourself.) It keep sucking, and it got bigger , bigger and bigger ! It left me silently and "cut me open and I, KEEP BLEEDING, KEEP KEEP BLEEDING IN LEG". I need a DOCTOR! Gosh! Look at this! Did you puke?! Lol, leech bites are normal for me okay. I ate leeches alive, if you do believe. Then we were so envy that the old scouts have a "living room", so we made a simpler one ourselves. Tada! A perfect portable "living room"! Which trembled and broke down at night. Me posing while Hsien Loong is setting up the lightin
