Random Spiritual Convo

This is an E-mail conversation between one of my prospect and I after the XEE Training:

Hey, I'm Mock, the guy from KL who shared the Gospel with you in the 5 Loaves 2 Fish Cafe.

Anyway, I've got an answer from a Ph.D Scholar for your question on repetitive sins.

Okay, Jesus assures you a ticket to Heaven. But if you continue to repeat the same sin after committing it to Jesus, you'll lose your ticket. This is not contradicting what He has said. When we continue to repeat the sin, it is clear that we are not following Jesus' path but the Devil's path, therefore we'll lose the ticket. Got me?! And when we repeat the same sin and commit it to Jesus again, again and again, aren't we hypocrites?! Lol

And also, when we repeat our sins, clearly we do not let the Holy Spirit do Its work within us, denying Its power.

Matthew 12:32
Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

Lol, let the Holy Spirit work within us. Follow the path of Jesus. Just remember we are all sinners, we can only mould into Jesus' image slowly, day by day. And we try our best to...I'm struggling as well. To be frank, I'm trying to fight off masturbation, pornography, and my use of bad language. Let us charge forward for Jesus, and defeat the Devil!

I'll pray for you! God bless!

Kar Wai,

Thank you for sending me a message, and for thinking about my problem. We shared common addictions, with the exception of foul language, so I think we should be able to understand each other to some extent.

And now when I recall the day I met you there in the bookshop, I feel so grateful to God. Somehow a kind of joy fills my heart when thinking about meeting someone who tells of God's love.

Since the trip to KL, I had been abstaining from those addictions, though the temptation was always there. However, today I had given in again. I regretted again (for the who-knows-how-many-thousandth-
time), and I prayed, Jesus, please tell me what to pray. I asked Him to forgive me, and I paused for a while. Then he told me to bind and cast out the demon of lust.

So I prayed, according to His instructions, Demon of Lust, in the name of Jesus Christ, I bind you, and I cast you out of me, and forbid you to return.

I repeated it for three times. Then, the Lord instructed me to do the same to the demon of persistent guilt, and so I did.

I asked Jesus if there was anything He wanted to tell me. Then I heard Jesus said to my heart, do you still remember when you were 10? When you first watched pornography and masturbated, you have made an agreement with the Devil. You must destroy this agreement now, by my death and resurrection and in my name.

So I did as Jesus told me to. In the end, he instructed me to take a bath.

Maybe there are some details that I have forgotten, but I really earnestly think that we should always listen to Jesus. He says that His sheep follow Him and listen to His voice. And if you have the chance, please do read a book entitled Walking with God by John Eldredge. Or if you cannot get the book, you can log on to walkingwithgod.net because there are some video recordings of the author talking about his experiences.

Looking forward to your reply.

I wonder if it is my tiny little faith or I just don't have the gift of hearing Jesus. To be frank, I don't speak in tongue, nor hear Jesus talks to me. Probably I'm too logical, but one thing I'm really sure is His love for me. I always feel grateful and excited think about His love. And it is very logical for me, and it's very logical that God loves us!

If you have the gift of listening to Jesus, I think the Holy Spirit has already worked within you. I've abstained myself from masturbation, sometimes still give in. In fact, there is nothing really wrong about masturbation, because you search whole day you won't find a verse talking about abstaining from masturbation.

But I want to share with you that Jesus wants us to grow maturely, sometimes logically. You and I are grown up in Christ, I'm at least 1 and a half years old, sometimes we should make decision for ourselves picking up the right choice in the path of Christ.

Paul said twice in the 1 Corinthians:

1 Cor. 6:12 ["Everything is permissible for me"—but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me"—but I will not be mastered by anything.]

1 Cor. 10:23 ["Everything is permissible"—but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible"—but not everything is constructive.]

We have the PERMISSION to do everything, but it is up to us to look at the consequences and the benefit of doing it. If doing such thing pleases me but in the mean while losing my place in Heaven, I will not. Logically thinking, why would I give up a gift that is so much more expensive and precious for a little while of pleasure. Logic isn't it?

Now it is either you master it, or you get mastered by it referring to 1 Cor. 6:12. There's nothing wrong about sex, it is the sin of man makes it wrong. God makes it beautiful, but the sin of man polluted it.

It is nothing wrong about masturbation, but it is when it masters you, Devil cast you with doubts and guilt, ultimately masters you.

We have our free will given by the God that loves us so much. One day this free will will be taken away from us. For one day [every knee will bow] Rom. 14:11. Exercise free will as what God wanted us to do from the very beginning and decide who to follow as the Holy Spirit guides you. You even have Jesus speaking to you, you are more than blessed!

Shalom!
