Focus

Coming back to my hostel room, I saw the usual janitor auntie eating at the stone table with an umbrella. The sun finally came out today and it was high at noon. Despite the hot weather, auntie seems to continue to enjoy her rest and food. I asked if she feels hot. She replied with her usual giggles in Malay:" I have an umbrella, you see?" We would call her stupid for doing such a thing. Clearly she has a choice to wipe off the water droplets on the shady side of the table and sit there. But as I was washing my coffee tumbler, I realised:" Whao! That's what people call, FOCUS!!" She just wanted to focus on her food and hard-earned rest, she didn't care if the sun is too hot it would burn her skin. She's happy with the little umbrella that she has. Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Subtle Intimacy

Weeks ago I was wondering what God wants to do with my life. I was so, so far away from Him I couldn't discern. So I started a journey of darkness to seek the intimacy with Him. I set apart my plannings and tasks under my responsibility related to CF, I decided not to touch a CF matter. I know I've done enough for CF to say I can let it go if it hinders me from God. I decided to start reading my Bible and I shall start from the Book of Job. I decided to cancel my planned mission to Lenggong and stayed home. I decided to talk to God whenever and wherever I can. I decided to disregard my intended sermon for Kajang Baptist Fellowship "Why Should We Give Thanks" and wait for God to speak to me. I decided to eagerly listen and receive from Connexion Leaders' Summit 2013 at Kampar. As I take time to meditate and read His Word, it is often compelling to journal down what I felt.
